"My Lord" said a deep, guttural voice "We have captured the hero." A muscular goblin wielding a sword stepped out of the shadows. "Excellent." said the man on the throne. He had a long, thin staff with a ruby on one end. "If Gatreng were to give away the location of my lair, all my work would be -" A sudden noise stopped his speech, which the goblin had heard many times. "Ah, and what have we here?" The magic staff flashed, and a column of flame lashed out into the secret passage leading to the underground chamber. The fiery hand retracted, this time holding an indignant boy of about 12. "Unhand me at once, you inhuman fiend!" spat the boy defiantly. "Oh, Paul." said Lord Sinister "You really must stop trying to escape! I mean, you never do get away!" The youth was dragged off, despite raging attempts to get at Sinister, and thrown into a gloomy dungeon in a cage next to-"Hey, kid." said Gatry.
